Matthias Lütolf is a bio-engineer and a professor at EPFL. In 2021, he became the Scientific Director for Roche’s Institute for Translation Bioengineering in Basel.
Lütolf has made contributions at the interface of biomaterials, stem cell biology and organoid technology. -

Patrizia Paterlini
Patrizia Paterlini is a physician-scientist and a professor of medicine at Université Paris Cité.
She is also the founder of Rarecells, a company specializing in circulating tumor cell technologies.
Paterlini is best known for her contributions to cancer biology, particularly the development of the ISET® technology. -

Leila Akkari
Leila Akkari is a group leader at the Netherlands Cancer Institute, focusing on macrophages in cancer and immune-tumor interactions, and Special Professor of Cancer-immune interactions at Leiden University.
Her contributions have been recognised with several distinctions, including the 2025 Ammodo Science Award, and her selection as EMBO Young Investigator.
